These cinnamon roll Cinnabon treats are intense. I ate one and went into a sugar coma. These are not for the faint of heart. Eat at your own risk but lord these are good.
Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Treats
Ingredients:
3 tbsp unsalted butter
10 oz mini marshmallows
7 cups Cinnabon cereal (or 6 cups Rice Krispies)
5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cups brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp milk
Melt 3 tbsp butter. Add marshmallows and stir over low heat until nearly all the way melted. Remove from heat and fold in cereal until evenly coated. Turn out onto rimmed baking sheet lined in parchment paper. Press into an even single layer (wrap hand in buttered sandwich bag to reduce sticking) and set aside.
Combine melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. If consistency is too runny, stick in freezer for 3 minutes until butter sets. Spread over top of cereal layer.
Roll layer into a log, working from the long end across. Peel the paper off the back as you go, maintaining an even roll. Once you get to the end, squeeze along the entire log to make sure it's even and tightly rolled, then cover completely in plastic wrap. Let sit at room temperature for at least 3 hours until completely firm, or in the fridge for 30 minutes. Unwrap and slice into 1 inch thick slices using a sharp chef's knife or serrated knife.
Whip room temperature butter until fluffy, then add powdered sugar and continue mixing until smooth. Add vanilla and milk, and mix until you reach the desired consistency between a frosting and a glaze. Use a fork to drizzle over top of the treats. Enjoy!
